Local Party Chase Format
Party Runner is a local multiplayer running game for up to four players on the same screen. Each player selects a color and uses assigned keyboard keys or a gamepad. The objective is to survive obstacles and outlast friends. Powerups let you slow down or trip opponents, adding a competitive layer to the chase. Rounds typically last around five minutes, fitting short game-night sessions.
Moment-to-Moment Running
Players dodge obstacles while managing their own path. Timing jumps and slides matters, and powerups are best saved for critical moments when a rival is about to overtake you. The game includes both clever and sometimes silly computer-controlled opponents, so solo practice is possible. Screen shake adds intensity, and slow-motion cameras capture eliminations.
Powerups and Strategic Quirks
Five unique powerups are available to hinder rivals. One notable feature is a clever bug that can be used strategically, which the developer has kept in. This gives experienced players an extra layer to explore. The game is still in development, and players are encouraged to share ideas for new features.
Controls and Setup
Each player uses a different key set—for example, one player might use the Arrow keys, another the WASD keys, and others different keys. Gamepads are supported for all players. Practicing with different control schemes helps find what feels most comfortable. The game is designed for game nights and friendly rivalry.
